In Jind district of Haryana, a person has threatened to kill the Chief Minister in a WhatsApp group created in the name of Halka Julana. This is the same assembly from where Olympic wrestler Vinesh Phogat has won the election. The group in which he threatened was created in the name of Vinesh Phogat’s husband Sombir Rathi. The person who threatened wrote in the WhatsApp group that whoever becomes the Chief Minister, I will shoot him, the way Godse shot Mahatma Gandhi. BJP has got majority in the state. After which Nayab Saini is going to become the next CM. He is currently also the caretaker CM. Julana police station has registered a case and arrested the accused. In a complaint to the police, Mehtab Saini, a resident of Ramkali village, said that the results of the assembly elections were declared on October 8. Around 4 pm, someone created a WhatsApp group in the name of “Sombir Rathi Halka Julana”. In that, a person named Ajmer posted a threatening post. He wrote- “If BJP comes to power for the third time in Haryana, then whoever becomes the Chief Minister, I will shoot him. The same thing will happen, the way Godse killed Mahatma Gandhi.” Later he said- wrote it in intoxication, deleted it. When his message created a ruckus, the accused clarified that he had written such a thing on the group while being drunk. After coming to his senses, he realized his mistake. After which he deleted the message. SP Jind said Vinesh was not in the group. SP Jind Sumit Kumar, while giving information about this whole matter, has told that on the day of counting of votes on October 8, some comments were made in a group named Somveer Rathi Halka Julana, which was a very serious matter. The police have registered an FIR and after investigation, arrested a person named Ajmer of Devard village. Also, the SP clarified that Vinesh Phogat was not in that group. No contact with Sombir Rathi-Vinesh Phogat
Julana police station registered a case on Mehtab’s complaint and arrested Ajmer, a resident of Devar village. The arrested accused has no criminal record. The police also claim that he has no contact with Sombir Rathi, husband of the Congress candidate from Julana, and Vinesh Phogat. He does not even know both of them. Vinesh Phogat contested the election from Julana seat on a Congress ticket. Vinesh defeated BJP candidate Captain Yogesh Bairagi by 6,015 votes. Vinesh Phogat got 65,080 votes. BJP’s Captain Yogesh Bairagi got 59,065 votes. INLD candidate Surendra Lathar came third with 10,158 votes. JJP candidate Amarjeet Dhanda came fourth, who got 2477 votes. Independent Bijendra Kumar got 164 votes, Independent Prem got 117 votes, Independent Coach Jasvir Singh Ahlawat got 90 votes, Independent Amit Sharma got 76 votes, Independent Ramratan got 69 votes, Rashtriya Garib Dal’s Jogi Sunil got 47 votes, Independent Indrajit got 46 votes. NOTA got 202 votes.
