Fake news exposed: Muslim man did not urinate on Maha Kumbh banner in Raebareli, police told the truth by tweeting

A video is going viral on social media. In the video, an angry crowd is seen beating a man. It is being claimed that the man being beaten is a Muslim and he had urinated on the banner of Maha Kumbh in Rae Bareli which had pictures of Hindu deities. Verified X user Deepak Sharma wrote in his tweet – Muslim youth was urinating on the pictures of Hindu deities… The incident is from Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh where a Muslim Shabaz, who prays five times a day, was roaming around and urinating on the pictures of deities. See screenshot: What is the truth of the viral video? During investigation, we found a report related to this incident in ‘The Free Press Journal’. In this report published on 11th January, it was told that this incident happened in Bachhrawan town of Raebareli, where a young man urinated on the banner of Mahakumbh, after which people present nearby beat him up. In the tweet, it was told that this incident happened on 10th January, the name of this young man is Vinod and he was urinating near the wall in an inebriated condition, unaware of the Kumbh banner.
