Sensex closed at 78,271 today i.e. on 5 February with a fall of 312 points. Nifty fell by 42 points, it closed at 23,696 level. At the same time, BSE Small Cap closed at 50,510 level with a gain of 709 points. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 19 fell and 11 rose. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 25 fell and 25 rose. In the NSE sectoral index, the realty sector closed with the highest decline of 1.85%.
Mixed trading in Asian markets, yesterday the market closed with gains
Earlier yesterday i.e. on 4 February, Sensex closed at 78,583 level with a gain of 1397 points. Nifty also rose by 378 points, it closed at 23,739 level. Out of the 30 Sensex stocks, 25 rose and 5 fell. Out of the 50 Nifty stocks, 39 rose and 11 fell. In the NSE sectoral index, all sectors closed with gains except the FMCG sector. Nifty Oil & Gas sector saw the highest gain of 2.70%.
