Demand to remove 1000 employees from Tirupati temple: BJP claims- all of them are non-Hindus; Temple committee members will meet CM on February 14

Andhra Pradesh BJP on Thursday demanded the removal of 1 thousand non-Hindu employees from Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) of Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh BJP spokesperson and TTD member Bhanu Prakash Reddy said – The board’s representatives will meet Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on February 14 and request to remove non-Hindus from the services of temples. On the other hand, YSRCP chief and former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy refused to give a statement on this issue. He said – I do not know about it in detail. Earlier on Wednesday, TTD had informed about the removal of 18 employees of the temple. All of them have been found guilty of working against the rules of TTD. The trust has placed two conditions in front of all 18 employees, either all of them should take transfer to any other government department or take VRS (voluntary retirement). This is being done to maintain the sanctity of the temple. TTD said in a statement – This action was taken on the instructions of TTD Chairman BR Naidu. Action has been taken against 18 employees who followed non-Hindu religious practices while working in the institute. All of them are following non-Hindu religious traditions despite working in TTD. Now orders have been given for disciplinary action against them. Against which employees did TTD take action? We had identified non-Hindu employees. TTD Chairman Naidu said – We identified some TTD employees who are non-Hindus. These people will be requested to take VRS. If they do not agree to this, they will be transferred to government departments like revenue, municipality or any corporation. I presented the proposal in the board meeting on February 4, which was accepted unanimously. A proposal to ban political statements in Tirumala was also passed in the board meeting. It states that legal action will be taken against those who violate TTD rules as well as those who promote political parties. 3 bases of TTD’s decision Tirupati is the richest temple trust in the world
TTD maintains 12 temples. More than 14 thousand employees work in it. According to the report released in April 2024, the temple trust had made an FD of Rs 1161 crore in 2024. This is the highest amount of FD till date. After this, the total FD in the banks of the trust has become Rs 13287 crore. This is the only temple in the country which has been depositing an amount of 500 crores or more in the bank year after year in the last 12 years. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam is one of the most famous pilgrimage places in the world. It is situated on Seshachalam mountain in Andhra Pradesh. This temple of Lord Venkateshwara was built by King Tondaman. The Prana Pratishtha of the temple was done by Ramanujacharya in the 11th century. It is believed that when Lord Venkateshwara was getting married to Padmavati, he took a loan from Kubera, the god of wealth. The Lord still has that debt and devotees donate to help him pay the interest. Tirumala temple receives about one ton of gold as donation every year. The famous laddu here is given as prasad to all the devotees who go to Tirupati for darshan. About 3 lakh laddus are made here every day. Laddus are made from gram flour, butter, sugar, cashews, raisins and cardamom and its recipe is about 300 years old. Hair is donated here
It is believed that the person who leaves all the sins and evils from his mind here, all his sorrows are removed by Goddess Lakshmi. That is why people leave their hair here as all their evils and sins. Lord Vishnu is called Venkateshwara
It is said about this temple that it is built on the seven peaks of Mount Meru, its seven peaks are said to be the symbol of the seven hoods of Sheshnag. These peaks are called Sheshadri, Neeladri, Garudadri, Anjanadri, Vrishtadri, Narayanadri and Vyankatadri. Out of these, Lord Vishnu is seated on the peak named Vyankatadri and for this reason he is known as Venkateshwar. Darshan of the entire idol is possible only on Fridays.

In the temple, Balaji can be seen three times a day. The first darshan is called Vishwaroop, which is in the morning. The second darshan is in the afternoon and the third darshan is at night. Darshan of the entire idol of Lord Balaji can be seen only on Friday morning during Abhishek. Lord Balaji gave darshan to Ramanujacharya here.

Apart from the temple of Balaji, there are many other temples here, such as Akash Ganga, Papanashak Tirtha, Vaikuntha Tirtha, Jalavithirtha, Tiruchanur. All these places are associated with the divine acts of the Lord. It is said that Shri Ramanujacharya lived for about 150 years and served Lord Vishnu all his life, as a result of which the Lord appeared to him here. …………………………………………..
