Actor turned director Boman Irani’s film ‘The Mehta Boys’ is being released on Prime Video. In this film based on the father-son relationship, Avinash Tiwari has played the role of Boman Irani’s son. Recently, while talking to Dainik Bhaskar, Avinash Tiwari told that during the shooting he had forgotten that Boman Irani is the director of the film. Seeing his dedication towards the film, the rest of the people did the same work. That’s why the film has been made well. What special thing did you find in the film ‘The Mehta Boys’? The subject of the film has always been very interesting. The history of Indian cinema has been that father-son relationships are specially shown in films. This is not only seen in Indian cinema, but also in international cinema. The kind of relationship shown between father and son in this film. I found that thing very special. This film has been written from a very special perspective. As soon as I read the script, I felt that I had to be a part of this film. I have worked a lot in life and will continue to do so. This is an important film for me right now. You have played the character of Amay in this film. How much does this character match your personal life? This character is very important for the film. I feel that the story of this film is not just about a father and son. Rather, this film is a story of human relationships. In relationships, there are problems of communication, ego and not being able to convey your point in the right way. It has been told very well through the father-son relationship. I am proud that I am a part of a film that presents topics like family bonding and reconciliation in such a precise manner. It is generally seen that the things said by the father in childhood seem bad. After becoming wise in oneself, the same things seem good. Did something like this happen to you? I did not feel bad about anything said by my father. Whatever I have learned and understood in life, he has a hand in it to a large extent. It is definitely true that we develop certain habits that we think that he should say what we want, then this is wrong. Whatever he says, we have to understand it accordingly. I think that now I have this understanding. How was the experience of working with Boman Irani as a director? While shooting a scene of the film, I forgot that Boman sir was directing the film. Actually, it was the first scene with Boman sir where we ask each other to sleep. We had rehearsed this scene for one and a half to two months. The first two takes were shot very well as per the rehearsals we had done. After that, both of us were discussing among ourselves as actors as to how to shoot the scene. The freedom that we got during the shooting of this film, we have not got that kind of freedom during the shooting of any film till date. Seeing the dedication of Boman sir in this film, everyone felt how to work at that level. That is why this film has been made well.
