The price of gold and silver fell today i.e. on March 10. According to the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold has fallen by Rs 127 to Rs 85,932. Earlier, gold was at Rs 86,059. On February 19, gold had made an all-time high of ? 86,733. The price of one kg of silver has come down by Rs 90 today to Rs 96,634 per kg. Earlier, the price of silver was Rs 96,724 per kg. Silver had made an all-time high of Rs 99,151 per kg on October 23, 2024. This year, i.e. from January 1 till now, the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold has increased by Rs 9,770 from Rs 76,162 to Rs 85,932. At the same time, the price of silver has also increased by Rs 10,617 from Rs 86,017 per kg to Rs 96,634. At the same time, last year i.e. in 2024, gold became costlier by Rs 12,810. Always buy certified gold bearing the hallmark of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). There is a 6-digit hallmark code on gold. It is called Hallmark Unique Identification Number i.e. HUID. Cross check the correct weight of gold and its price on the day of purchase from many sources (such as the website of India Bullion and Jewelers Association). The price of gold varies according to 24 carat, 22 carat and 18 carat. 24 carat gold is considered the purest gold, but jewellery is not made from it because it is very soft. 3. Do not make cash payment, take bill
