Subhash Ghai is angry about the heavy fees of actors: He said- this trend was started by corporates and not by filmmakers, 70% of the budget goes to actors

Subhash Ghai has recently expressed his displeasure over the heavy fees being paid to actors in the Bollywood industry. During this, he also said that there are many actors in the industry who have become producers. But they have no understanding of film making and film business. Why make a film that can be made for Rs 100 for Rs 1000 – Ghai Subhash Ghai shared many things during a conversation with Komal Nahta on YouTube channel Game Changers. He said, ‘When you can make a film for Rs 100, then what is the need to make it for Rs 1000. Remember that many people can do a lot with that Rs 900.’ Subhash Ghai angry at giving high fees to actors Subhash Ghai further said – Today different departments have been formed everywhere, due to which they have their own issues. No one’s aim is to make a big film in a low budget. Earlier our thinking was that we would make films in a low budget. We never gave more than 10-15% of the film’s budget to a star. In today’s time, you see that actors get 70% of the film’s budget. This trend was started by corporates, not filmmakers. Since they got business in their hands, they started this trend because they have to show these figures in their balance sheet and stock exchange.’ Talking about starting the production company Mukta Arts, Subhash Ghai explained the reason for starting his production company Mukta Arts and said, ‘I started this company to bring discipline. We made 43 films and none of them went over budget. We made profit from every film because we made all the films keeping our budget in mind. Every writer should keep in mind that budget is everything. Ghai considers films as God. Earlier we used to believe that a film is like God and we are humans. If the film is a hit, we can also become God. But now it has become such that no one cares if the film is a hit or not. People sitting in the studio are just making money among themselves.’ Subhash Ghai produced 43 films Subhash Ghai has given many films to the Bollywood industry. He has directed 18 films and produced 43 films. His first film Kalicharan was released in the year 1976. He had cast Shatrughan Sinha in this film.
