To get it installed, you can apply by visiting the consumer portal. Here you will have to fill information like your consumer number, name, address and how much capacity plant you want to install. Discom companies will verify these details and take the process forward. Many vendors are already registered on the portal who install solar panels. You can choose any vendor according to your choice. After the panel is installed, the discom will install net metering. Documents required for the scheme How will subsidy be received after installing the solar plant? When the solar plant is installed and the discom installs net metering, its proof and certificate will be uploaded on the portal. After this, the government will transfer the entire amount of subsidy under DBT to the consumer’s account. Will 300 units of electricity be available free under this scheme? A 1 KW solar plant produces about 4-5 units of electricity daily. In such a situation, if you install a 3 KW plant, then about 15 units of electricity will be produced daily. That is, 450 units in a month. You can use this electricity. The remaining electricity will go back through net metering and you will also get money for this electricity. The government says that you can earn about Rs 15,000 a year from this electricity. ???
