Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has taken a U-turn on his decision to play from Goa in domestic cricket. The 23-year-old opener has appealed to the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) to withdraw his NOC. Jaiswal sent a mail to MCA and wrote in it- I request you to consider withdrawing the NOC taken by me. I had family plans to shift to Goa, but they have now been cancelled. That is why I request the MCA to give me permission to play from Mumbai this season. I have neither submitted my NOC to BCCI nor to the Goa Cricket Association. Jaiswal had asked for NOC a month ago

Jaiswal had sent a mail to MCA a month ago asking for NOC. Then an MCA official had said- ‘His decision is shocking, but he must have thought of something. He asked to release himself.’ According to reports, the Goa Cricket Association had offered to make Yashasvi the captain. On the question of making Jaiswal the captain, the association’s secretary Shambha Desai had said – ‘Yes, this can happen. He has played for the Indian team.
