Ahan Pandey and Anit Padda’s film ‘Saiyaara’ has earned around Rs 48.25 crore in two days of its release. The film collected Rs 22 crore on the first day and Rs 26.25 crore on the second day. The film will earn up to Rs 200-250 crore, while film trade expert Aamir Ansari believes that the success of this film is historic in many ways. Aamir believes that the film has the potential to earn Rs 200 crore net in India and is sure to cross Rs 250 crore worldwide. In a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, Aamir said, when the advance booking of ‘Saiyaara’ started, no one expected that the film would earn even Rs 3 crore on the first day. Even major trending portals and platforms like Ormax had estimated Rs 3 crore, but as soon as the craze for the songs of the film was seen, especially the catch that Mohit Suri’s music made, the advance booking of the film broke all records. Aamir said that 6,000 tickets were sold on July 14, then 53,000 on July 15 and 1.16 lakh tickets were sold on July 16. The advance booking crossed the figure of Rs 10 crore in earnings. Aamir said that the craze of the film was seen to such an extent that the advance booking of the second day was increased from 650 to 770 shows in Mumbai. In Delhi-NCR, the number of shows were increased from 800 to 1100. The situation was such that even the 11:00 pm, 11:55 pm, 8:00 am and 9:00 pm shows were housefull. The film earned a lot on Saturday. It sold tickets worth more than 5 lakhs on Book My Show alone. By night, the figure on Book My Show reached 7 lakh tickets, which is considered extremely difficult and almost impossible in today’s times. On Saturday, the film earned a total of ?26.25 crores and in two days its collection reached ?48.25 crores. Aamir also said about the film, it is being said that this film has got the biggest opening in comparison to all the newcomer superstars who have come in the industry so far, be it Bobby Deol with ‘Barsaat’, Salman Khan with ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, Ajay Devgan with ‘Phool Aur Kaante’, Hrithik Roshan with ‘Kaho Naa Pyar Hai’. According to Aamir, the film is expected to do business of more than ?30 crores on Sunday. That means this film is crossing 78.25 crores in three days. Book My Show has also registered a record. 54,000 tickets were sold in just 1 hour on this platform between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Till now, this achievement was achieved only by big films like ‘Tiger’, ‘Pathan’, ‘Jawaan’ and ‘Gadar 2’.
