Gujarat – Brother killed, pregnant sister-in-law raped and murdered: Baby came out of womb after being kicked; 15-year-old accused buried naked body in home

At the Khodiyar Ashram in Shobhavdala village, about 50 kilometers from Junagadh city in Gujarat, a 15-year-old minor brutally murdered his brother and pregnant sister-in-law. He also raped her before killing her. The accused kicked the woman in the stomach so hard that her 6-month-old baby was expelled from the womb. The incident occurred on October 16th, but came to light on Friday, October 31st. The accused buried the bodies of his brother and sister-in-law naked in the house. He set fire to their clothes and cleaned up the bloodstains. His mother helped him bury the bodies of his elder son and daughter-in-law in the house. On October 31st, police went to the Ashram and recovered the decomposed bodies of a husband, wife, and a newborn from a house behind the Ashram. Police also arrested the minor accused. The deceased were identified as Shivamgiri (22) and his wife, Kanchan Kumari (19). Shivamgiri worked as an electrician. The accused cared for the ashram and cared for cows in the cowshed. He attacked his brother with an iron rod while he was sleeping.
Police stated that the accused has confessed to his crime. Preliminary investigations revealed that he was addicted to alcohol, leading to frequent fights at home. His elder brother repeatedly urged him to quit, which led to the accused’s hatred for him. The elder brother also kept the money he earned, leading the minor to decide to kill his brother. On the morning of October 16th, while the elder brother was sleeping, the accused attacked him on the head with an iron rod. He beat him until he died. He then went to kill his sister-in-law. Hearing her screams, his wife, Kanchan, went inside to check on Shivam and found him bleeding from his head. Fearing that her brother-in-law would kill her too, she began pleading with him to spare her. After raping her sister-in-law, he strangled her; her mother helped destroy the evidence.
The accused then raped her. He then strangled her by placing his knee on her stomach. Police reported that the woman’s fetus was also expelled from her womb due to the attack. The accused then dug a five-foot-deep pit in the house and buried the bodies. He then set their clothes on fire and cleaned up the blood stains. According to police, call detail records revealed that the boy’s mother was not at the scene on the day of the incident. However, she did help her son destroy evidence. Police believe that it would not have been possible for a minor to dig such a deep pit and bury the bodies alone. Father died of COVID-19, mother lived like a Sadhvi.
Police reported that the accused’s family originally hails from Bihar. They had lived at the Khodiyar Ashram near Shobhavdala village for 28 years. The accused’s father died of COVID-19. After his father’s death, his mother, Vibhaben, lived like a Sadhvi. How the murder was revealed after 15 days.
Police reported that the deceased woman’s parents were trying to communicate with their daughter. When they couldn’t contact their daughter during Diwali, they became suspicious. When their repeated calls to their son-in-law’s phone went unanswered, they called the accused. However, he would hang up each time, making some excuse. Then, his mother answered the call and said that their son and daughter-in-law had died in a road accident near Himmatnagar, Gujarat. When the woman’s parents asked for photos, videos, or any documentation of the accident, he evaded their questions. Their suspicions deepened. They traveled from their village in Khagaria district, Bihar, to Gujarat and investigated. The police told them that no such road accident or deaths had occurred in the Himmatnagar police station area. Subsequently, on October 31, the police went to the ashram and exhumed the bodies. —————————- Also read this news from Gujarat… Son and daughter-in-law petition the High Court in Gujarat, asking for their parents’ whereabouts; elderly couple asks not to reveal their location.
