In Gurugram, a soldier first lured a young woman on social media with the promise of marriage, then, after she became pregnant, abandoned her. The victim is a resident of Delhi’s Anand Parvat area, but the man used to invite her to hotels around Jharsa, Gurugram. In December, the young woman’s brother noticed her swollen belly and took her to the hospital, where doctors, after examining her, confirmed she was eight months pregnant. Following this, the woman filed a zero FIR at the Anand Parvat police station. The case has now been brought to the notice of the Gurugram Sadar police station. In the zero FIR filed at the Anand Parvat police station, the woman alleged that she met the accused, Ganesh, through Facebook. Ganesh introduced himself as a soldier posted in the prestigious Kumaon Regiment of the Indian Army, and their conversation soon deepened. The accused, under the promise of marriage, lured the young woman into a hotel in the Jharsa area of Gurugram on February 23, 2025, where he forcibly had sexual intercourse with her. After this, on 26 March 2025, the same incident was repeated at the Oaken View Hotel in Jharsa Sector 47. According to the victim, she came to know that she had become pregnant due to this relationship. When she told this to Ganesh, he started avoiding her. He stopped picking up her calls, did not reply to her messages and later broke off contact completely. The girl remained in shock for a long time and during this time her health also deteriorated. The case came to light a month ago when the victim’s brother came to Delhi on 28 November 2025. Seeing his sister’s stomach enlarged, he inquired and immediately took her to the hospital. Doctors’ examination revealed that the girl was 8 months pregnant. After her brother’s persuasion, the victim gathered courage and lodged a zero FIR at the Anand Parvat police station in Delhi.
