In June 2024, two accused who conducted a recce of Salman Khan’s Panvel farmhouse with the intention of killing him have been granted bail by the Bombay High Court. Justice N.R. Borkar granted bail to Waspi Mahmud Khan alias Wasim Chikna and Gaurav Vinod Bhatia alias Sandeep Bishnoi, arrested in the case, saying that no concrete evidence has been found against them. They had also done recce of the actor’s farmhouse and several shooting spots including Goregaon Film City. Police have also recovered several videos of recce from their mobiles. Several phones and SIM cards have also been recovered. All four had done recce of Salman’s house and farmhouse. Out of these, Ajay Kashyap had contacted a person named Dogar living in Pakistan through video call. He was going to order AK-47 from there to attack Salman. The accused were going to order weapons from Pakistan. According to the police, all the arrested accused were also in contact with gangster Anandpal’s daughter. Police have also suspected that the five could have used their followers on social media to carry out this murder. Ajay Kashyap is the one who played the role of co-ordinator among all the accused. Ajay was also involved in arms smuggling. The angle related to Pakistan is also being investigated. Apart from this, the police also got information that about 60 to 70 henchmen of Lawrence and Sampat Nehra gang coming from Mumbai, Raigad, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune and Gujarat are keeping an eye on Salman Khan. They were planning to attack Salman through minors. After the attack, their plan was to flee from Kanyakumari to Sri Lanka via boat.
