Honey Singh said- I used to be drunk for 24 hours: Big people of the film industry made me addicted, after getting fame I even left my family

Singer-rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh remains in the news due to his controversial life. For the last few years, Honey has been in the news for the wrong reasons. Recently, in an interview, he talked about drug addiction and married life. Famous people of the industry made him addicted to drugs. In an interview given to Lallantop, Honey Singh said that after getting fame, his mind was distracted. He started smoking hashish. Honey said- Many big people made him addicted to drugs. They used to tease me that you are a Punjabi son, you don’t do all this, I said let me do it and then the drug addiction kept increasing. I started doing so much drugs that I was high all the time. I had hired a boy to make joints because I did not know how to make joints. After getting success, I distanced myself from the family. I used to be so drunk that I was not aware of myself or the surroundings. During the same time, I also started getting away from my wife Shalini. I got married around 2011. Everything was fine for 9-10 months after marriage but then success made me dizzy. I did not maintain any relationship with anyone, parents or Shalini. I stopped looking at home. I got lost in money, fame, addiction and girls. The treatment lasted for seven years. Due to addiction to alcohol and drugs, Honey was surrounded by diseases. He became a victim of bipolar disorder. After this, he had to give up the addiction of alcohol and drugs. After seven years of long treatment, Honey has now recovered. Honey told in the interview that during this time celebs like Akshay Kumar, Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone used to inquire about his well-being. Honey has already got divorced. Honey Singh and Shalini Talwar got married on 23 January 2011. The couple got separated in November last year. In 2021, Shalini filed a divorce petition against Honey by filing a case of domestic violence. After a hearing that lasted for two and a half years, the court granted divorce to both of them.
