Kundli police station in Sonipat district has registered a case of fraud against three people on the complaint of a female railway police constable. The accused cheated her of Rs 15 lakh in the name of getting a transfer and a job.
Suman, a resident of Jharoda Kalan (New Delhi), told in a complaint given to the court that she is a constable in the Railway Police and is posted in Pathankot. In 2021, she became friends with Karishma, a resident of Navada (Jhajjar). Karishma introduced her boyfriend Abhishek, who introduced himself as the brother-in-law of an IPS officer. Suman gave Rs 2.50 lakh in cash to Karishma According to the complaint, the accused demanded Rs 15 lakh in the name of getting the complainant’s husband a job and his transfer. Suman gave Rs 2.50 lakh in cash to Karishma and transferred Rs 4.50 lakh to Abhishek’s account. Later gave another Rs 2.50 lakh. DSP Yogendra was also given Rs 5.50 lakh in Burari, Delhi. Neither transfer happened nor did her husband get a job. Suman said that neither she got transferred nor did her husband get a job. On asking for the money, Karishma is returning only Rs 4,894 in installments. In this case, the victim complained to Kundli police station and DCP (East), but no action was taken.
On the order of the court, a case has now been registered in Kundli police station under section 420, 120B, 34 IPC. Police is investigating the matter.
