World number-2 Coco Gauff has won the French Open. The 21-year-old American star defeated world number-1 tennis star Aryna Sabalenka 6-7, 6-2, 6-4 in the women’s singles final on Saturday. Sabalenka won the first set 7-6 in a match that lasted two hours and 38 minutes. Gauff has won the second Grand Slam of her career. She became the US Open champion in 2023. In this tournament, an American player has become the champion after 10 years. Before Gauff, Serena Williams became the champion here in 2015. Gauff lost the first set 7-6 at the Philippe-Chatrier Court in Paris. Then she won the next two sets 6-2, 6-4 and won the title.
