In the ongoing ground battle between Israel and Hezbollah in the southern region of Lebanon, the Israeli army on Wednesday (2 October) reached 2 km inside Maroun al-Ras village. According to the BBC, Israeli soldiers also clashed with Hezbollah fighters here. So far 8 Israeli soldiers have died in this face-to-face battle, while 18 have been injured. Hezbollah has claimed that it has also destroyed 3 Israeli tanks. Israel is fighting Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, Iran and Houthis in Yemen. On Tuesday night, Iran fired 200 ballistic missiles at Israel. However, according to Israel, Iran attacked it with 180 missiles. The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) said that the attack was carried out by targeting the Mossad Headquarters, Nevatim Airbase and Tel Nof Airbase. Most of Iran’s missiles were destroyed by Israel’s defense system. After Iran’s attack, Israel has banned UN Chief Antonio Guterres from visiting Israel. According to news agency Reuters, Israel’s Foreign Minister said that the UN Chief did not condemn Iran’s attacks, after which this decision was taken.
