Star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has left for Germany after winning a silver medal for India at the Paris Olympics. He will consult a doctor there on his injury and decide whether to participate in the Diamond League or not. PTI has quoted Neeraj’s family sources as saying that the 26-year-old star javelin thrower will not return to India for at least one and a half months. Neeraj’s move to Germany has also been confirmed by Indian Olympic Association (IOA) sources in Paris. Neeraj won the silver medal at the Paris Olympics by scoring a season best of 89.45 meters. A family source said, ‘Chopra has left for Germany. After discussing with the doctor, Neeraj will decide whether or not to play in the Diamond League finals to be held in Brussels, Belgium on September 14.
