The Constitutional Court has removed Thailand’s Prime Minister Shretha Thavisin from his post. He was accused of including a lawyer with a criminal record in the cabinet. The court has held Prime Minister Shretha guilty of this move as a violation of ethics. The 9-judge bench of the Constitutional Court has given this decision with a majority of 5-4. Former senators had filed a complaint against Prime Minister Shretha in the court. All these senators were appointed by the previous junta government. After this decision, a political crisis has arisen in Thailand. Earlier last week, the Constitutional Court dismissed the main opposition Move Forward Party. Also, all its leaders were banned for 10 years. The Move Forward Party won the most seats in the elections held last year. Cabinet also dissolved, government will be formed afresh
