BJP released the list of 9 Rajya Sabha candidates: Union Minister Ravneet Bittu from Rajasthan, George Kurien from MP and Kiran Chaudhary from Haryana are the candidates

The BJP released a list of 9 candidates for the Rajya Sabha by-election on Tuesday, 20 August. Kiran Chaudhary, who left Congress and joined BJP, will be the party’s candidate from Haryana. Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu has been nominated from Rajasthan and George Kurien from Madhya Pradesh. The last date for filing nominations for the Rajya Sabha elections is 21 August. See full list… Rajasthan: Union Minister Ravneet, grandson of former CM Beant Singh, lost the Lok Sabha elections in Punjab. Ravneet Bittu, who was a two-time MP from Ludhiana, left the Congress and joined the BJP before the Lok Sabha elections 2024. After joining the BJP, the party gave him a ticket from Ludhiana, but he had to face defeat by 20 thousand 942 votes from Congress candidate Amarinder Singh Raja Vading. She is the daughter-in-law of former Haryana Chief Minister Bansi Lal. Kiran was angry over not getting a ticket from Congress for her daughter Shruti in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Maharashtra: BJP has made Patil its candidate, on the other seat Ajit Pawar’s NCP candidate will be Piyush Goyal and Udayanraje Bhosale from Maharashtra won the Lok Sabha elections and became MPs. Two Rajya Sabha seats have become vacant due to their resignation. BJP has declared Dhairyasheel Patil as its candidate on one seat. He is the South Raigad District BJP President. It is believed that Ajit Pawar’s NCP candidate will be on one seat. Ajit’s NCP has decided to give ticket to Nitin Patil, only formal announcement is pending. There is a coalition government of Eknath Shinde, Ajit Pawar and BJP in Maharashtra. There are 288 assembly seats here. NDA has 211 MLAs, including 103 from BJP, 40 from NCP (Ajit Pawar) and 38 from Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde). MVA has 37 Congress, 15 from Shiv Sena (UBT) and 12 from NCP (Sharad Pawar). BJP is likely to win from here. Odisha: Mamta, who joined BJP from BJD, made candidate Former Rajya Sabha MP Mamta Mohanta has been made a candidate by BJP from Odisha. She has joined BJP from Biju Janata Dal (BJD). She comes from the Kudumi community of Odisha. 48-year-old Mamta Mohanta was elected to the Rajya Sabha from Odisha as a member of Biju Janata Dal in March 2020. There are a total of 147 seats in the Legislative Assembly in Odisha. BJP has 78, BJD has 51 and Congress has 14 MLAs. BJP’s victory is almost certain. Tripura: BJP President Bhattacharya made candidate Tripura BJP President Rajib Bhattacharya has been declared the party’s candidate for Rajya Sabha. There are a total of 60 assembly seats here. BJP has 32 seats, and Congress and Left Alliance have got 14 seats. Tipra Motha Party has 13 seats. In such a situation, BJP’s victory is almost certain.
