The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in Pakistan’s Balochistan has claimed to have killed 130 Pakistani soldiers. However, the Pakistani army has so far admitted that 14 soldiers have been killed. BLA spokesperson Jiyand Baloch said that this was the first phase of Operation Herof. He claimed it to be successful. Jiyand said that 800 fighters from his different squads took part in this operation. His fighters destroyed many posts and camps of the Pakistani army in Balochistan. He said that his fidayeen fighters’ ‘Majid Brigade’ occupied the Bela camp in Balochistan for 20 hours. Here 68 soldiers of the Pakistani army were killed and dozens were injured. Baloch police was already warned to stay away. BLA spokesperson said that he had already warned the local police not to help the Pakistani Army. He said that 22 police and levy (tax collection) employees were temporarily detained and were released safely after the operation was completed. Spokesperson Jiyand said that he considers the police and levy force as the partner of the Balochs. BLA said that 7 of its fidayeen lost their lives in these attacks. Among them was a woman – Mahal Baloch. BLA also released pictures of two fidayeen. According to Balochistan Post, Mahal became the third Baloch woman to give her life in a fidayeen attack.
