Kangana Ranaut met BJP President Nadda: First meeting after the statement on the farmers’ movement, the party had instructed her not to make such statements in future

BJP MP from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh and actress Kangana Ranaut arrived to meet BJP President JP Nadda on Thursday (August 29). Kangana left after staying at Nadda’s residence in Delhi for about half an hour. This was Kangana’s first meeting with a senior BJP leader after her statement on the farmers’ movement. Kangana had said in an interview to Bhaskar that rapes and murders took place in the name of protest during the farmers’ movement. If the government had not been strong, Punjab would have become Bangladesh. When this statement was opposed, the BJP said that this is Kangana’s own opinion, not the party’s. The BJP issued a press release on August 26 saying – the party disagrees with Kangana’s statement. Kangana is not allowed to speak on the party’s policy issues. The party had also instructed her not to make such statements in future. Kangana said – miscreants were spreading violence in the name of farmers’ movement In an interview to Dainik Bhaskar, Kangana said that if our top leadership had not been strong, Punjab would also have been made Bangladesh during the farmers’ movement. In the name of farmers’ movement in Punjab, miscreants were spreading violence. Rapes and murders were happening there. The farmers bill was withdrawn otherwise these miscreants had a very long-term plan. They could have done anything in the country. Rahul said- Kangana’s statement is proof of anti-farmer policy

On Kangana’s statement, opposition leader Rahul Gandhi said on Monday (August 26)- BJP MP calling farmers rapists and representatives of foreign forces is proof of their anti-farmer policy and intentions. The Modi government’s betrayal of farmers cannot be hidden by attacking the honor and respect of the food providers. Priyanka Chaturvedi’s question- Why is the release not on BJP’s letterhead

Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi raised questions on BJP’s press release. She wrote in a social media post that neither is it on BJP’s letterhead, nor is it signed by anyone. It is not even on BJP’s social media handles. She tagged BJP and wrote that is there any reason behind this or is this also a slogan. Answer- If our top leadership was weak today, a situation like Bangladesh could have happened in India too. Everyone saw what happened during the farmers’ movement here. How violence was spread in the name of protest. Rapes were happening there, dead bodies were being hanged after killing. When that bill was withdrawn, these rioters were shocked, because their planning was very long. They were controlled in time, otherwise they could have done anything. Question- Why is the film industry silent on what happened to Hindus in Bangladesh?

Answer- Actually these people do not have any information. They are just lost in their own thoughts. They sit with makeup on from the morning, they do not care about what is happening in the country and the world. They think that their work should continue, the country can go to hell. However, they forget that if something happens to the country, they will also suffer the same loss. Question- Lady doctor was raped in Kolkata, will you raise your voice for women in the Parliament?

Answer- Safety of women has always been a matter of concern for me. I am very serious about it. I have always raised my voice in support of women to the best of my ability. 10 years ago, in Aamir Khan’s show Satyamev Jayate, I openly opposed item numbers in films. Is a woman’s body only for entertainment?

Question- The industry’s reaction to your statements is often harsh?

Answer- This is a propaganda used against me. Only those people who are insecure about me and my work say such things. People feel that Kangana speaks too much truth. Anyway, I have also raised my voice against these people. I have always spoken against sexism, nepotism and item numbers prevalent in the industry. During the Me Too movement, I had exposed many people. At the time of Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide, I made a lot of revelations, due to which many people were angry. Question- You will be seen in the role of Indira in the film Emergency, what would you say?

Answer- This film has been made very honestly. There is no question of opposing anyone here. Even Rahul Gandhi will like the film very much. After watching the film, he will praise it from within, but I don’t know what he will say outside. Question- Can you see some similarities with Indira ji in yourself? Any one thing about her that you don’t find right?

Answer- If we forget the chapter on Emergency, then one specialty of her personality was that she loved her country very much. She really wanted some change. Today’s leaders are hungry for power, but they don’t love their country. At the same time, the thing that I find bad about her is that she wanted to take her own family forward, which is not right according to me. Question- As long as you were acting according to the industry, everything was fine. When you started giving your opinion, did you become bad?

Answer- I came to Mumbai in 2004. I got my first film in 2006. Till 2014, I was seen as an ordinary actress. People in the industry had a positive attitude towards me. After 2014, when my films started becoming hits, they started getting worried. They thought who is this outsider girl who is making her place. She is neither the daughter of a rich man nor does she have any godfather in the industry, then why is she becoming so successful. As soon as Tanu Weds Manu Returns became a superhit, they started following me even more. They started abusing me, started character assassination, started calling me a psycho. Meaning, the girl who was normal for them for 10 years, suddenly became a psycho? Film makers like Karan Johar, Ketan Mehta and Apurva Asrani used to give statements against me every day. Even the people with whom I had broken up years ago started sending me notices. They started saying that I stalk them, make them drink my menstrual blood. Such allegations were made against me, which you cannot even imagine in your dreams. Question- You speak fearlessly all the time, don’t your own people explain to you why you are harming yourself?

Answer- Look, my family lives a very simple life. They do not have any kind of attachment. They are rather happy that now I am spending more and more time in my hometown Mandi. Apart from this, some well-wishers definitely say that you should not fight for everything. They are right to some extent, I will not be able to fight alone for everything now.
