The storm that arose from Kutch in India has turned into Cyclone Asana as soon as it reached the Arabian Sea. Now it is moving towards Pakistan. Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had issued a warning about this storm becoming a cyclone on Friday morning. A low pressure area was formed in Kutch for the past several days. Due to this, there was heavy rain in Sindh of Pakistan and Gujarat of India along with strong winds. Schools and colleges were closed due to heavy rains in Sindh. PMD has predicted heavy rains with lightning in the next 24 hours. Cyclone Asana will pass through the coastal areas of Pakistan and move towards Oman. The first came in 1944, the second in 1964 and the third in 1976. All three weakened while coming to the coast. However, 28 storms have come in August in the Bay of Bengal in 132 years.
