External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has said that the era of uninterrupted dialogue with Pakistan is over. We have to bear the consequences of every action. Speaking at a book launch event on Friday, Jaishankar said, “As far as Jammu and Kashmir is concerned, Article 370 has been removed.” On India’s current relations with Pakistan, the Foreign Minister said that we will not sit quiet. Whether something is good or bad, we will definitely give the right response to it. Jaishankar said that neighboring countries involve India in their issues only when it is politically beneficial for them. Jaishankar also talked about the issue of Bangladesh at the book event. He said, “It is very common that we will deal with the current government there. We will focus on the interests of both the countries. We know that there have been political changes in Bangladesh which are sometimes harmful.” ‘Relations with neighboring countries are challenging for every country’
The Foreign Minister said that neighboring countries are always like a puzzle. There is no country in the world that has not faced challenges in the matter of neighboring countries. Earlier in May, calling POK a part of India, Jaishankar had said that Pakistan should return PoK. He had described it as one of the biggest dreams of PM Modi. The Foreign Minister had said that now the people of India have accepted that 370 will not come back to Kashmir again. Also, now our goal is to change the land of PoK. At the same time, during his visit to Singapore in March, Jaishankar had also raised the issue of Pakistan. ‘India is not in a mood to ignore terrorism’
He had said that Pakistan is constantly promoting terrorism. India will not ignore it. We cannot say that whatever happened does not matter, we should start talks again. During this, he had said that how will you deal with a neighbor who does not even hide the fact that he uses terrorism to run the country. We cannot find a way out by ignoring this. Jaishankar had further said that India is no longer in a mood to sideline terrorists. Every country wants a stable neighborhood. If not stable, then at least the neighbour should be peaceful. Without naming Pakistan, Jaishankar had said that we have been a little unlucky in getting a good neighbour.
