There has been another upset in the US Open. On Saturday, Novak Djokovic of Serbia, who has won 24 Grand Slams, lost in the third round of the tournament. He was defeated by 28th seed Alexei Popyrin of Australia 6-4, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4. The match was played at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York. Djokovic was the defending champion of the US Open. He won this tournament in 2023 by defeating Daniil Medvedev of Russia. A day earlier on August 30, Carlos Alcaraz of Spain, who has won 15 Grand Slams, was knocked out of the second round by a 74th ranked player. BCCI will review the impact player, 2 bouncer rules The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is going to review the impact player and 2 bouncers rule in an over. At present, there is confusion among the state units whether to keep these rules in force in the upcoming domestic cricket or not. Especially in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy starting in November. Both these rules are applicable only in IPL. The rule of only two bouncers in domestic cricket was introduced last year.
