Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Monday said that caste-based census is right for the welfare of the people, but it should not be made a political weapon in elections. The government should conduct caste census only for data. RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar said – Caste is a very sensitive issue in our Hindu society. Census is important for our national unity and security. It should be done very seriously. The government also needs data for the welfare of any caste or community. This has happened before, but it should be done only for the welfare of the society. Do not make it a political tool for elections. Congress said – RSS openly opposed caste census On the last day of the three-day coordination meeting going on from August 31 in Palakkad, Kerala, Sunil Ambekar also talked to the trainee doctor in Kolkata about rape-murder, Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and the situation of Hindus in Bangladesh.
