Musk’s company’s Polaris Dawn mission launched: Astronauts will do a spacewalk 700KM away, no one has gone there for 50 years

The Polaris Dawn mission of Elon Musk’s company SpaceX has been launched. In the Polaris Dawn mission, 4 astronauts are going to do a spacewalk in space about 700 km above the Earth. This will be the world’s first private spacewalk. Earlier, its launch was postponed by 2 hours due to bad weather. It was to be launched at 1 pm. In this 5-day mission, the astronauts will go to an orbit in which no astronaut has gone for more than 50 years. This mission was to be launched on August 27, but due to helium leak and bad weather, this mission had to be postponed. Astronauts Jared Isaacman and Sarah Gillis will do a spacewalk 700 km above the Earth on the third day of this mission. This walk will be of 15-20 minutes. However, this entire process will take about 2 hours. Mission Objective: Spacewalk and experiments related to human health
During this mission, the Dragon capsule will try to reach a height where no one has gone since the Apollo program. Here two astronauts will perform the first private extravehicular activity (spacewalk). During this, they will wear SpaceX’s developed EVA suit. During the mission, 36 research studies and experiments related to human health will also be done. Apart from this, Starlink’s laser-based communication will be tested in space. This will be the first time that two SpaceX employees will be part of a human spaceflight crew. Oxygen will be filled in the cabin before the spacewalk

Before the spacewalk, the crew will begin the “pre-breathe” process. In this process, the cabin will be filled with pure oxygen and any trace of nitrogen will be removed. If nitrogen reaches the bloodstream of the astronaut while he is in space, it can cause obstruction in blood flow. Decompression sickness can also occur. Falcon 9 is the world’s first orbital class reusable rocket

The Falcon 9 is a reusable, two-stage rocket built by SpaceX to carry people and payloads to Earth orbit and beyond. Falcon 9 is the world’s first orbital class reusable rocket. Dragon spacecraft is capable of carrying 7 astronauts into space. It is the only private spacecraft that takes humans to the space station and brings them back. Dragon’s first test flight took place in 2010. Polaris Program: Polaris Dawn is the first of three planned missions
Polaris Dawn is the first of three planned missions of the Polaris program. It is being funded by Isaacman. If everything goes according to plan, the third Polaris flight will be the first crewed mission of Starship. Starship is the world’s most powerful rocket, which is undergoing testing.
