25 students have died in a fire in a school bus in Thailand. According to news agency AFP, there were 44 people on the bus, out of which 16 have been admitted to the hospital. Currently, rescue workers are trying to evacuate the remaining children. The cause of the fire has not been revealed yet. However, eyewitnesses present at the spot say that the fire broke out due to the bus tire bursting. According to Reuters, the accident happened in Bangkok’s Khu Khot area on Tuesday afternoon at around 12:30. The bus was returning from a school trip. Children from the age of 3 to 15 years were present in the bus. Apart from this, 5 teachers were also on board.
