The biggest anti-naxal operation took place in Chhattisgarh on Friday. It is reported that 34 naxalites were killed in this. Bodies of 31 naxalites have also been recovered. The encounter took place on the border of Dantewada-Narayanpur district. Firing took place for 2 hours in the forest between Nendur and Thulthuli villages of Orchha police station area. After the firing stopped, a search operation was conducted. The soldiers have recovered weapons like AK-47, SLR along with the bodies of the naxalites. Female naxal commander Niti is also reported to have been killed in this encounter. IG Sundarraj has called it the biggest naxal operation till date. About 6 months ago, 29 naxalites were killed in Kanker. Niti is a naxalite with a reward of about 10 lakhs. Female naxalite commander Niti is also reported to have been killed in this encounter. She was a DVCM cadre on whom there was a reward of about 8 to 10 lakh rupees. She was active in the East Bastar division of the naxalites. This year, security forces have killed 171 Naxalites in different encounters in Bastar region. Bastar region includes 7 districts including Dantewada and Narayanpur. On the other hand, this is the third encounter in 11 days. On 24 September also, an encounter took place in Sukma district. During this, 2 Naxalites were killed in the encounter.
