According to the police, the accused minor told that he was in love with the nurse’s daughter. He had also withdrawn some money from the nurse’s husband’s account. The minor had posted a picture of himself with a pistol on his Instagram account and wrote in the caption, ‘Kar diya 2024 mein murder.’ Two minors had come to Neema Hospital late night on October 2 on the pretext of taking a prescription and had fired after entering the cabin. One of them had an injury on his toe. After getting the dressing done, he said that he would meet the doctor to get a prescription. Both of them went to Doctor Javed’s cabin and fled after shooting him. The police got information about the incident on a call at 1.45 am. When the police arrived, Javed Akhtar’s body was found lying on his chair.
