Indigo Airlines server fixed after 6 hours: There was a problem in booking and checking in, passengers were troubled at airports across the country

IndiGo Airlines’ online passenger service system has started working after about 6 hours (around 6 pm). The airline’s system had crashed today (5 October) at around 12:00 noon. The airline shared a post on social media platform X and said, ‘Our airport systems are now operational and our airport services have also become smooth. However, we request you to support us while restoring our other applications. Although it may take some time to achieve complete normalcy, we look forward to providing you a seamless experience soon. Thank you for your understanding and patience.’ People were troubled due to the increasing crowd at the airport. During this time people were not able to book and check-in airline tickets online. Flights and ground services were also affected at airports. Due to this, long queues of passengers were seen at airports across the country. Information about the problem was given by the airline, but due to no alternative arrangements for the passengers, they were waiting at the airports for hours. The airline had said, ‘We are currently facing a temporary system slowdown in our network. Due to which our website and booking system are being affected. Due to this, customers may face an increase in waiting time, including slow check-in and long queues at the airport. Our airport teams are dedicated to assisting everyone and giving a smooth journey. Don’t worry, we are working fast to fix the system as soon as possible. Due to this, essential services like airports, flights, trains, hospitals, banks, restaurants, digital payments, stock exchanges, TV channels and supermarkets were halted worldwide. The maximum impact was seen at airports. 3% i.e. about 4,295 flights had to be cancelled worldwide. In America alone, 1100 flights were cancelled and 1700 were delayed. In India, heavy crowds were seen at major airports of the country including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru. Indigo has a 62% share in the domestic market. Indigo currently operates flights to 30 international destinations, providing service to 805 international cities. With a fleet of over 300 aircraft, the airline connects 78 cities in the country with over 2,000 flights daily.
