Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra have got a big relief from the Bombay High Court. The court has stayed the eviction notice issued by the ED. The court says that no action will be taken in this matter until the Appellate Tribunal hears their petition challenging the property attachment order. In fact, on September 27, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had issued a notice to Shilpa Shetty and Kundra to vacate their house in Juhu, Mumbai and a farm house in Pune within 10 days. The couple had filed a petition in the Bombay High Court against this. Also, calling it illegal and arbitrary, they demanded to cancel it. At the same time, a bench of Justice Revati Mohite Dere and Justice PK Chavan, while giving its verdict in the matter on Thursday, allowed Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra to apply for a stay. The court said that no action will be taken on the eviction notice until the Appellate Tribunal decides on their appeal. The court also said that if the appellate tribunal gives a decision against them, then two weeks will be given to implement it. Statement of Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra’s lawyer Prashant Patil, lawyer of Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty Kundra, said, ‘We want to clarify the news going on in the media which is saying that Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty have any connection with the cryptocurrency Ponzi scam. There is nothing like this, and there is no mention of this in the investigation of the Enforcement Directorate (ED).’ Lawyer Prashant Patil further said, ‘It is made clear that Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty have nothing to do with the Ponzi scam related to 2017. The Enforcement Directorate had issued a notice at their house, but the High Court has stayed that notice. The court has given them time to appeal to the Hon’ble Appellate Tribunal, Delhi. My clients (Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty) are trying their best to cooperate fully in the investigation of the Enforcement Directorate.’ Know what is the whole matter Let us tell you, in the year 2018, ED had filed a complaint against Amit Bhardwaj and others on charges of bitcoin fraud and money laundering. Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra’s names also came up in this case. Even though both were not proved guilty, they have been called for questioning several times in the case. In April this year, ED had ordered the temporary confiscation of the couple’s property worth 98 crores. This included their farm house in Pune and their house in Juhu, Mumbai.
