Baba Siddiqui, leader of NCP Ajit Pawar faction and former minister of Maharashtra government, has been shot dead in Mumbai. 2 to 3 bullets were fired at him outside his son Zeeshan Siddiqui’s office near Kherwadi signal in Bandra. He was immediately admitted to Lilavati Hospital, where he died. According to the information, Baba Siddiqui left the office at around 9.15 pm on Saturday night. At the time of firing, he was bursting crackers near his office. Then three people came out of a car. All three had handkerchiefs tied on their mouths. They fired three rounds at Baba Siddiqui. One bullet hit Baba Siddiqui’s associate’s leg. After this, the second bullet hit Siddiqui. Baba Siddiqui fell down after being shot. People immediately took him to Lilavati Hospital. Police reached the spot as soon as the information was received. There is also news that the police have also detained two people. The reason for the attack is not clear yet. CM Eknath Shinde said – two accused have been arrested. One of them is from UP, the other is from Haryana. The third accused is absconding. The accused will not be spared. Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis reached the hospital as soon as he got information about the incident. Ajit Pawar has also cancelled all his programs. He is reaching Mumbai.
