The 500-year-old mystery related to Christopher Columbus, the discoverer of America, has been solved. The human remains found in 2003 in the Cathedral of Seville in Spain belong to Columbus. Spanish forensic scientist Miguel Lorente and historian Marcial Castro gave this information in a TV program on Saturday. Along with this, both experts said that Columbus was a Sephardic Jew from Western Europe. According to a Reuters report, scientists have confirmed this after DNA analysis. Columbus died in 1506. Columbus wanted to be buried on the island of Hispaniola. Therefore, his body was taken there in 1542. After this, his body was taken to Cuba in 1795 and finally his body was buried in Seville, Spain in 1898. Due to his body being taken to many places, it is not clear where he stayed in his last days.
