Hezbollah attacked the Golani military base in Israel’s Haifa area on Sunday night. The viral claim is completely false and misleading. During the investigation, we did not find any credible news report on Google that confirms the claim that Israeli Army Chief Harji Halevi has been killed in Hezbollah’s drone attack. While investigating the claim, we found an article by The Jerusalem Post. Its headline was – ‘False rumor of IDF Chief Halevi’s death in Hezbollah attack goes viral on social media’ See screenshot: The Jerusalem Post reported in its news that the news of Israeli Army Chief Harji Halevi being killed in a drone attack is just a rumor and has nothing to do with reality. During our search, we found a report from The Times of Israel which said that Israeli Army Chief Herzi Halevi visited the Golani Military Base and boosted the morale of the soldiers. This is the same base where Hezbollah attacked with a drone on Sunday night. The Times of Israel had reported in its article- IDF Chief Herzi Halevi visited the Golani Military Base which was targeted by Hezbollah. During this, Halevi encouraged the soldiers and said, ‘We are at war and such an attack on a training base is a very serious matter, the enemies will have to face the consequences.
