Successful operation:: Mother donated her kidney to her son suffering from kidney disease and gave him a new life

A mother has given a new life to her son suffering from kidney disease by donating her kidney. After the kidney transplant, both mother and son are healthy and have been discharged from the hospital. This transplant was done by the doctors of Accord Hospital. 26-year-old Ashish of SGM Nagar works in a private company. He was suffering from kidney disease for about a year. He had to undergo dialysis repeatedly. In such a situation, he was advised to undergo kidney transplant. According to senior kidney specialist Dr. Jitendra Kumar, kidney transplant is a better option for kidney failure. But the problem in this is that there is always a shortage of donors. Earlier, matching of blood group was necessary. Many times transplant of family members was not possible, because the blood group did not match. Due to this, patients were deprived of transplant. But now the technology of changing blood group is increasing rapidly in India. The son’s blood group was not matching with the mother, but the mother wanted to donate her kidney. While the son’s body had more antibodies against the mother’s blood group. The transplant was carried out by changing the blood group using the new technology Advanced Vitrosorb Secorim Colum. Urologist Dr. Saurabh Joshi and Dr. Varun Katiyar told that with the new technology, kidney transplant can be done even if the patient and the donor have different blood groups. The special thing is that before kidney transplant, the level of antibodies of the patient and the donor should be as per the standard. It takes ten days to make it compatible with the donor. Every day the amount of antibodies in the patient’s body is reduced using the plasma exchange technique.
