Zomato’s quick commerce company Blinkit has started EMI payment facility for its customers today (24 October). EMI facility has been made available on orders above ? 2,999. However, customers will not be able to avail this facility on purchasing gold and silver coins. Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa gave this information on social media platform X. He said – We believe that this will improve affordability and make it possible for our customers to do better financial planning. No cost EMI option can also be available In the picture shared by CEO Albinder Dhindsa on X, the option of no cost EMI is also visible along with 15% interest on annual basis. However, the option of no cost EMI is not visible in the app right now, the option to place an order with normal EMI option has become available. Zomato’s profit increased by 388% in the second quarter, including the earnings from Blinkit Zomato’s profit in the July-September quarter has increased by 388% year-on-year to Rs 176 crore. The company’s consolidated net profit was Rs 36 crore in the same quarter a year ago. On October 22, the results for the second quarter of the financial year 2024-25 were released, which also includes earnings from Blinkit. The company’s revenue in the second quarter grew by 68.50% to Rs 4,799 crore. The revenue was Rs 2,848 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
