Bomb threats continued for the 15th consecutive day in domestic and international flights of the country. On Monday, more than 60 flights of Indian Airlines received bomb blast threats. Due to the threat, Air India’s Delhi-Colombo AI 281 flight had to make an emergency landing at Colombo International Airport. There were 108 passengers and 8 crew on board. The flight was investigated, but the news turned out to be false. In the last 15 days, bomb threats have been received in more than 400 flights. All were found to be fake. The threats received today include 21-21 flights of Air India-Indigo and 20 flights of Vistara. Air India spokesperson said that bomb threats were given through social media. The IT ministry had issued an advisory on 26 October and told social media platforms that if they do not remove such false information immediately, their immunity under the IT Act will be revoked.
