Sensex fell 426 points to close at 79,942: Nifty fell 126 points, closed at 24,340

On the day of Chhoti Diwali today, i.e. 29 October, the Sensex fell by 426 points and closed at 79,942. At the same time, Nifty closed at 24,340, down 126 points. After the day’s trading, 19 out of 30 Sensex stocks declined and 11 rose. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 31 declined and 19 rose. The biggest decline in the sectoral index of NSE was in the shares of Financial Services and Pharma. Financial Services stock fell 1.45%. Yesterday, i.e. on the day of Dhanteras (29 October), the Sensex recovered 948 points from the day’s low of 79,421. After the day’s trading, it closed at 80,369 with a gain of 363 points. Nifty also recovered 326 points from the day’s low of 24,140 and closed at 24,466 with a gain of 127 points. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 17 rose and 13 fell. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 31 rose and 18 fell. There was no change in one stock. NSE’s financial services stocks saw the highest rise. Afcons Infrastructure IPO subscribed 2.73 times on the last day
Yesterday, i.e. 29 October, was the last day to bid for the IPO of Afcons Infrastructure Limited, a company working in the transport, construction, oil and gas sector. By 4 pm, this Afcons Infrastructure was subscribed 2.73 times in total. The company’s shares will be listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) on November 4.
