Haryana government’s Minister of State Rajesh Nagar called upon the people that on Annakoot and Govardhan Puja, we all should take a pledge to protect the environment. The Minister of State was attending the Annakoot and Govardhan Puja program as the chief guest at the Residents Welfare Association Pocket-A Sector 28 on Saturday. On this occasion, he said that the festival of Govardhan Puja is a symbol of our culture and traditions along with religious significance. Govardhan Puja is organized to commemorate the worship of Govardhan mountain by Lord Krishna, which teaches us that we should have responsibility and reverence towards nature. He called upon the people that on the occasion of Govardhan Puja, we all should take a pledge to protect the environment. We should make the best use of natural resources and try to increase greenery around us. He said that this effort of Govardhan Puja will help in preserving our culture and will also create a better and safer environment for the coming generations. He said that we have to take a pledge to set an example by cleaning our state on the lines of Indore City. During this, the Residents Welfare Association handed over a memorandum of demands to the Minister of State. On this occasion, many sector residents including the organizers of the program BR Singla, Charan Singh, Vikram Kapoor, RP Singh, Naresh Aggarwal, Amit Aggarwal, Manish Vaishya, PK Garg, Tejpal, Bharat Bhushan Gupta, Kaushal Batla, Balraj Gupta, DK Jain, Sanjay Kasana, Jaiveer Khatana were present.
