Zeenat Aman had two marriages. Her first marriage was with actor Sanjay Khan. However, this relationship did not last long. Then in 1985, Zeenat Aman married actor Mazhar Khan. But unfortunately, she had to suffer a lot in this relationship as well. In an interview, Zeenat had said that along with her husband Mazhar, her in-laws also exploited her a lot. After Mazhar’s death, she was also evicted from the property. Even Zeenat’s children were instigated against her. Zeenat Aman said – Mazhar had become addicted to medicines. In an interview given to Simi Garewal, she had said, ‘What happened to Mazhar was that he had stopped helping himself. Whatever he was doing, he was harming himself further. I could not stay there with him and see him doing this. He had become addicted to prescription medicines, painkillers. At one time, he was taking medicines seven times a day. Doctors had said that his kidneys will stop working. Children used to request me to request him not to take medicines.’ It was difficult for Zeenat to end her relationship with her second husband. Zeenat Aman further said- Finally his kidneys got damaged. It was at this time that I thought of getting out of this relationship. It took me a lot of time to do this because even after coming out of the relationship, I was worried about him. I fought a lot of battles for him. Zeenat was not allowed to see her husband for the last time. Zeenat also told that after Mazhar’s death, her in-laws evicted her from all the property. Along with this, the children were also instigated against Zeenat. They had said- All the money of Mazhar was taken by his mother and sister. Not only this, they did not even allow me to see Mazhar for the last time.
