Asaram, who is serving life sentence in a rape case, has come out of jail. On November 7, Jodhpur High Court granted Asaram 30 days parole for treatment. He will get his treatment done at the private Ayurvedic hospital located at Bhagat Ki Kothi in Jodhpur. He was brought by ambulance on Sunday night and admitted to the hospital. During this time, a crowd of his supporters gathered outside the hospital to see Asaram. The division bench of senior High Court judge Dinesh Mehta and judge Vineet Kumar Mathur had given orders on the application for permission for treatment of Asaram. Senior advocates RS Saluja and Yashpal Rajpurohit had pleaded on behalf of Asaram and submitted an application for permission for treatment. Asaram’s lawyers had sought permission for treatment for an indefinite period until the doctor discharges him from the hospital. Government lawyer Additional Advocate General Deepak Chaudhary argued for 30 days permission. After hearing the arguments of both the sides, the High Court granted Asaram 30 days parole for treatment. Earlier on August 13, the High Court granted 7 days parole. He came on parole for the first time in 11 years for treatment. Then Asaram got treatment at Madhobagh Ayurvedic Hospital in Maharashtra. After that Asaram was again brought to Jodhpur Central Jail. On October 18, Asaram’s son Narayan Sai also pleaded to meet his father. Sai, who is lodged in Lajpore Central Jail of Surat, was given permission by the Gujarat High Court keeping in view humanitarian grounds. For this, Narayan Sai was asked to pay Rs 5 lakh. He was given 4 hours permission to meet his father Asaram.
