Fake News Exposed: Video of attack on woman in Bangladesh goes viral with communal claim; Know the truth

A video of an injured woman is being shared on social media with a communal twist. In the video, blood can be seen flowing from the face of a woman. People are seen taking away the injured woman. It is being claimed that this video is from Bangladesh. Where a mob of Muslim extremists attacked a Hindu woman and injured her. Truth of the viral video… To know the truth of the viral video, we reverse searched its key frame. On searching, we found this video on a YouTube channel with information. The title of the video on the channel reads – I strongly condemn the barbaric attack on Kohinoor Begum, a member of the National Committee of Bangladesh Kisan League. This video was uploaded on the channel on November 11. In the next phase of the investigation, we searched some keywords related to the information found in the video. On searching, we found a post related to the video on X. A journalist named Wasim Akram Tyagi shared the video on X and wrote – This is Kohinoor Akhtar. She is the leader of Sheikh Hasina’s party Awami League in Bangladesh. Violence has been committed against her. This violence caused by political hatred cannot be condemned enough. Tyagi further tagged the Home Ministry and wrote – Extremists are making the video viral by calling this victim a Hindu and spreading hatred against Muslims through this incident in Bangladesh. Has this country’s @HMOIndia also sworn that it will not take action against those who spread hatred against Muslims in the country through fake news? There are many people who spread fake news and wrote that this Hindu woman was raped by 35 Muslims. Imagine how far their hatred for Muslims would reach when this lie reaches people’s mobile phones through social media. It is clear that the claim being made with the viral video on social media is completely false. The woman seen in the video is Kohinoor Akhtar, a leader of Sheikh Hasina’s party, Awami League, who was attacked by some people during a protest. Join us against fake news.
