Former fast bowler Aaqib Javed has been appointed interim coach of Pakistan’s white ball cricket team till Champions Trophy-2025. PCB announced Javed’s appointment as coach on Monday. The board issued a statement saying that Javed will continue to work as a selector as well. In such a situation, he will have to handle dual responsibility. 52-year-old former fast bowler Javed will replace Australia’s Gary Kirsten. The post of white ball coach was vacant after Kirsten’s resignation. Javed is working as a convener with the team’s selection committee. Gillespie will coach the Test team in South Africa tour
PCB said that red ball head coach Jason Gillespie had recently coached the team during the Australia tour. He will now join the team for the upcoming two-Test series in Africa.
