The Women’s Selection Committee has announced the Indian Women’s team for the Australia tour. In the three-match ODI series, opener Shefali Verma has been dropped from the team due to poor form. This tour of the Indian women’s team will start from December 5. Harleen Deol has returned to the ODI team after almost a year. Richa Ghosh, who did not play the home series against New Zealand due to her board exams, has also been brought into the team. The 16-member squad includes Priya Poonia, leg-spinner Minnu Mani and pacer Titus Sadhu. The team will be captained by Harmanpreet Kaur. Shefali Verma’s name not in the team Opener Shefali Verma has not been selected in the team for the Australian tour. The reason for this is her poor performance in the last series. Shefali scored 56 runs in 3 ODIs against New Zealand. Apart from this, for the Australia tour, India has selected almost the same team for the New Zealand series which was seen playing in the home ODI series against New Zealand. Harleen’s return to the team Harleen Deol has returned to the tour after almost a year. All-rounder Harleen played her last ODI for India in December last year against Australia in Mumbai. She has scored 207 runs in 10 ODIs. Harleen is also known for her fielding. First match on 5 December The first two matches of the ODI series between India and Australia will be played on 5 and 8 December at the Alan Border ground in Brisbane. The third and last match of the series will be played in Perth on 11 December.
