Due to technical fault in Air India flight, more than 100 passengers were stranded in Phuket, Thailand for 3 days. Out of these, about 70 passengers were sent to India by another plane after 80 hours i.e. on 19 November. 30 passengers are still in Phuket. According to Air India sources, they will be brought back soon. On 16 November, Air India flight AI377 was coming from Phuket to Delhi, but it was cancelled after a technical fault. Passengers shared their problems on social media. According to them, the flight was scheduled to leave for Delhi on the night of 16 November, but citing technical fault, it was postponed for 6 hours. After waiting for hours, the passengers were asked to board, but the flight was cancelled after just one hour. In this way, the flight was postponed 3 times. It took off once, but returned to Phuket airport after two and a half hours. Since then, all the passengers were stranded in Phuket till 19th November afternoon.
