AR Rahman and his band member Mohini Dey shocked everyone by announcing their separation from their respective partners on the same day. On November 19, Rahman and his wife Saira Banu announced the end of their 29-year-old marriage. Shortly after, Mohini Dey also talked about getting divorced from her husband. This simultaneous news created a stir on social media and rumors started spreading that Rahman and Bano’s relationship broke up because of Mohini. Mohini has now broken her silence on these rumors. Mohini Dey wrote on Instagram story that she has been called for many interviews, but she does not want to clarify anything about this. My time should not be spent on these things. Please respect my privacy.’ Earlier, AR Rahman’s son AR Ameen also reacted to the rumours of his parents’ divorce. He wrote on Instagram, “My father is a legend, and not just because of his work, but also because of the respect and love he has earned over the years. I am saddened that false rumours are being spread. We must understand that when we talk about someone, truth and respect are of utmost importance. Please refrain from spreading misinformation.” Mohine Dey and her husband Mark Hartsch also announced their separation in a post. They wrote, “We have decided to separate by mutual consent. We have an understanding between us, and we will remain good friends. We will work together on many projects, including Mamogi and Mohine Dey Group.
