There may be a ceasefire in Lebanon in the next 24 hours: Voting on the proposal in the Israeli cabinet today, Netanyahu approved the plan

A ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon may be announced in the next 24 hours. According to a CNN report, the Israeli cabinet will vote on the ceasefire deal today. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has approved the ceasefire plan. Earlier on Sunday, Hezbollah carried out its biggest attack on Israel so far. Hezbollah used more than 250 missiles for this attack. According to the report, Netanyahu also discussed the ceasefire plan with Israeli officials on Sunday. Israel killed Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in an attack on 27 September. Three days later, Israel launched a ground operation in Lebanon against Hezbollah late on October 1. Israeli leaders called the ceasefire a wrong step. Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir has called Netanyahu’s ceasefire decision a wrong step. Itamar said that if there is a ceasefire, we will give Hezbollah a chance to be completely destroyed. This will be a historic mistake. Ben Gvir has been opposing ceasefire with Hezbollah for a long time. Apart from Ben Gvir, Benny Gantz, who was a part of Israel’s war cabinet, has asked Netanyahu to put the information related to the ceasefire in front of the people. Benny Gantz resigned from the Israeli war cabinet in June this year. He accused Netanyahu of not handling Gaza properly. Ceasefire deal brokered by America Last week, an American official Amos Hochstein met Lebanon’s Prime Minister Nijab Mikati and Parliament Speaker Nibah Barry. During this, talks were held between Israel and Hezbollah to bring about a ceasefire. After talks in Lebanon, Amos reached Israel on Wednesday, where talks were held on finalizing the ceasefire. In this plan, a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah has been proposed for the next 60 days. In these 60 days, work will be done to implement a permanent ceasefire between the two. This plan has been prepared on the basis of UN Resolution 1701. What is UN Resolution 1701? In July 2006, Hezbollah fighters crossed the Lebanon border and killed 8 Israeli soldiers. Apart from this, 2 soldiers were taken hostage. Through this, Hezbollah wanted to exchange prisoners with Israel. However, Israel started air strikes and ground operations against Hezbollah in response to the death of soldiers and taking them hostage. This war continued between the two for a month. After this, a proposal was brought in the UN to implement a ceasefire between the two. This proposal was accepted by the United Nations Security Council on 11 August 2006. This resolution is known as UN Resolution 1701. According to this resolution, Israel vacated the land that Israel had occupied along Lebanon’s southern border. Along with this, Lebanese soldiers were deployed in the areas vacated by Hezbollah. Israel had eliminated Hezbollah’s top leadership. Israel had eliminated its top leadership even before starting the ground operation in Lebanon. The biggest name in this was Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah. Israel attacked Beirut in Lebanon with 80 tons of bombs on 27 September. Nasrallah was killed in this attack. Apart from Nasrallah, his successor Hashim Saifuddin was also killed by Israel in an attack on 8 October. ————————————– Also read this news related to Israel and Hezbollah…..
