PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen have made it to the quarter-finals in the Syed Modi Badminton Championship being held at Lucknow’s BBD Stadium. Both the players registered victory in the match played on Thursday. Ira Sharma gave a tough fight to PV Sindhu. After PV Sindhu’s victory in the first set, Ira made a comeback in the second set. Lakshya Sen defeated Israeli player Daniil Dubovenko by taking lead during the entire match. In women’s doubles, Ashwini Ponnappa and Tanisha Cristo defeated Taiwan’s Su Yu Chen and EN pair by 21-19, 8-21 and 21 -12. Priyanshu Rajawat defeated Vietnam’s player Lee Du Phat by a margin of 21-15, 21-8 to secure a place in the quarter-finals.
