The mini auction of Women’s Premier League (WPL) will be held on 15 December in Bengaluru. BCCI has informed the five franchise teams about the auction. There are vacancies for 19 players in 5 teams, out of which 14 Indian and 5 foreign players will be bought. 5 teams have a purse of Rs 16.7 crore, Gujarat Giants will enter with the highest purse of Rs 4.40 crore. The third season of WPL will start in January or February next year. Purse limit Rs 15 crore
A team has a purse limit of Rs 15 crore. After player retention, the purse of the teams has been reduced. Delhi has a purse of Rs 2.50 crore and Mumbai has a purse of Rs 2.65 crore.
